Daily Devotion: Strength in Command
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. (Joshua 1:9)
In the midst of life’s uncertainties, the call to be strong and courageous resonates as a divine mandate. God spoke these words to Joshua as he prepared to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land, a land filled with challenges and unknowns. Just as Joshua faced daunting obstacles, so too do we encounter moments that test our faith and resolve.
Today, reflect on what it means to be strong and courageous in your own life. Perhaps you are facing a difficult decision, a strained relationship, or a daunting task at work. Know that God’s command is not merely a suggestion; it is an empowering directive. Strength and courage are gifts from Him, fortified by His presence.
When fear whispers in your ear, remember that God is with you wherever you go. His promise to Joshua is His promise to you. Stand firm in your faith, leaning not on your understanding but on the unwavering truth of His word. Each step you take in courage is a step toward fulfilling your purpose.
Let this day be marked by your strength. Embrace the challenges ahead with the confidence that God has equipped you to overcome. You are not alone; the Creator of the universe walks beside you, urging you to rise above fear and doubt.
So, gird yourself with His truth, take a deep breath, and step boldly into the day. Be strong. Be courageous. Trust in the Lord, for He goes before you and prepares your way.
